It can be very difficult to identify asbestos. But if you suspect you are living with it don’t panic!

Our Asbestos Testing Service will provide you with UKAS Lab Certified results within 2 – 5 working days of receiving your sample material.
Follow the safety instructions below to obtain your sample and send by post to us. Once you have received your results by email you can contact us for further advice if your sample is positively identified as asbestos. But don’t worry, in most cases materials that arouse suspicion have no asbestos content whatsoever.
How to obtain and send your sample:
Taking a sample of the suspected material can be very easy for you to do by following the instructions below.
- Dampen area with water spray or similar
- Using pliers / knife carefully take sample (approximate size 20 pence piece)
- Place inside sealable plastic bag (a sandwich bag is acceptable) then double bag
- Label sample with date and where taken from (e.g. walls) and fill out form
- Place sample, form and your payment cheque (unless using Paypal) into envelope and post back to us ensuring the correct postage for the envelope to be delivered has been paid.
